A Unique Sociological Approach to Healing and Empowerment: Rooted in Culture, Research, Community, and Lived Experience

SAARTHI’s programs are built on a sociological understanding of South Asian immigrant experiences, family systems, and cultural pressures. Our approach goes beyond traditional support by addressing the root causes of domestic and gender-based violence, empowering women with culturally aligned tools, and creating pathways to long-term safety, emotional well-being, and independence.

We look beyond the symptoms of crisis to understand the cultural, emotional, and social realities women navigate every day. This allows us to deliver guidance that is practical, culturally relevant, emotionally safe, and deeply effective.

About Us

Healthy relationships are the backbone of Happy Living

At Saarthi, we believe that healthy relationships are the foundation of safe and fulfilling lives. Many survivors of domestic abuse carry silent wounds that impact their sense of worth, and we are here to help change that. Through compassionate, culturally sensitive support, rooted in sociological principles, we guide women and families toward healing, confidence, and healthier connections. Our mission is to empower every survivor to reclaim life with dignity, courage, and hope.

Testimonials

“I never imagined I would be completely alone in a new country and would need help. When everything felt overwhelming, SAARTHI was the only place that understood  my worries, and  challenges that I couldn’t even express in words. They listened without judgment, guided me through my options, connected me to resources, and supported me in a language and culture I was familiar with. SAARTHI didn’t just support me- they surrounded me with a caring community that reminded me that I deserve dignity and independence.

Because of SAARTHI, I feel stronger, safer, and hopeful about my future and today, I’m standing on my own again.

I share my story anonymously, with gratitude, so other women know that help does exist and that SAARTHI truly changes lives”
